UK ETS Registry Account

The UK Emissions Trading Registry is in effect a bank for UK Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) allowances and Kyoto Protocol (KP) international units. Therefore, an appropriate level of scrutiny is needed to satisfy the Environment Agency, performing its role as the Registry Administrator under the UK ETS, and the National Administrator under the KP, that you are fit and proper to hold an account and/or be granted access to it as a nominated Authorized Representative(s).

During the process of registering, users applying to open an account in the UK Emissions Trading Registry, will be requested to complete personal and corporate entity documents – some of these will be mandatory, and others may be requested on a case-by-case basis. The Registry Administrator / National Administrator will confirm exactly which documents to provide as part of the application process. Orezten Credits will manage the procurement and deposit of certified Carbon Credits in to the Clients ETS Registry Account. With Authorized Representative status on the ETS Registry Account, Orezten Credits will manage the retirement for their clients and issue the project certificates.

In 2020, a Neilsen study also found 66% of all consumers are willing to pay more for sustainable brands. This figure is even higher for millennials (73%) and Gen Z (72%).
